Mark launched Kowalski CPA in 2017 to provide a more personal touch to clients in need of help with tax filings for their businesses, and he works with a wide range of clients including self employed individuals, corporations and estates.  Mark also serves as a Virtual CFO for clients, providing a deeper insight into the results of their business, helping navigate compliance and tax issues and provide clear projections for the future.

Mark obtained his CPA in 2013 during his early career with two mid-size Canadian accounting firms. During this time, his areas of expertise included not for profit audit, Canadian and US tax matters and personal taxes.  Mark’s audit experience took him around the country as he developed a specialization in working with first nation and Inuit groups in the North. He regularly travels to Nunavut to perform audit and accounting services to NPOs and Municipalities there.

Mark also serves on the audit and finance committee of the Child and Nature Alliance of Canada and is an avid hiker in Gatineau and the Adirondacks in New York.
